The press briefing was organized by the Committee of Senior Officials of SADC, the sub-coordination of SADC and the Congolese Ministry of Regional Integration, Cooperation and Francophonie.
At every summit, the host country presides over all the organs of SADC.
The transfer of power was made between Malawi and the DRC, and Mr Zacharie Tshibinda, on behalf of the DRC, Secretary General for Regional Integration and Francophonie, conducted these meetings.
The work began on Monday, August 9 and ends today, August 11, 2022. Recommendations have been put forward and will be approved this evening.
These recommendations will be submitted as a working report to the Council of Ministers of the SADC, of which H.E. Didier Mazenga will hold the presidency from this evening.
This report will constitute a working document for the 42nd Summit of SADC Heads of State and Government which will take place from 17-18 August 2022.
The press conference focused on SADC's achievements. As a reminder: SADC has contributed greatly to stability and peace in the DRC.
